The largest screen on a Redmi phone ever

With the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, Redmi presented the latest Redmi Note phone in an online event in India. The latest mid-range phone from Redmi has a revised design, this time with a hole in its large 6.67-inch 20: 9 display and a centrally placed square camera module with four reversing cameras. The big screen shows the Redmi Note 9 Pro as a spiritual successor to Xiaomi's Mi Max line, which was discontinued last year.

The four rear-view cameras of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max are identical to the camera setup of the Redmi Note 8 Pro, apart from the updated 5-megapixel macro camera and the updated image processing algorithm for the ultra-wide-angle camera. The Redmi Note 9 Pro has the same setup for the quad rear camera but replaces the 64-megapixel main camera of the Pro Max with a 48-megapixel ISOCELL GM2 main camera.

For the internals, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is the first in the Redmi series to use a processor from the Snapdragon 700 series - especially the recently announced Snapdragon 720G. While it is roughly the same thickness as the Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi managed to install a larger 5020 mAh battery in the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. While the Redmi Note 9 Pro is regularly charged with 18 W, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is charged faster with 33 W wired, with the required charger included.
